Payment using the iZettle payment link

If your bank rejects the payment when you try to pay directly online, the reason may be and the solution is the following:

  1. Your credit card does not have enough grip (money) > make sure the card has enough coverage and try again
  2. Your credit card is not accepted as a means of payment in our system or your credit card company does not recognize the Ruskamaraton service provider and therefore does not agree to the payment > send an email to run@ruskamaraton.com and we will send you a payment link through the iZettle checkout system, through which you can safely make a payment online directly to our checkout system. After payment, send an email with a receipt copy of the payment and we will then send you a voucher code that you can use to register online. This instruction also applies to the race office, except that we no longer send vouchers, we just enter your information directly into the system.

  • K-Supermarket Kittilä Ruskamaraton (42,195km): 11:40 (AM)
  • Break Sokos Hotel Levi Half marathon (21,098km): 12:00 (AM)
  • Brooks & Levi Ski Resort Trailrun (16,2 km): 12:20 (PM)
  • Inter Sport Levi & Björn Borg Ten (10 km): 12:40 (PM)
  • Hullu Poro Ruskareissu walk (approx. 6,5 km) 12:50 (PM)

Picking up the race number

You can pick up your race number from the race office on Friday, September 11, between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM, or on race day, Saturday, September 12, starting at 9:00 AM.

On the race day, you must pick up your number no later than half an hour before your race starts. Please note that the race office may be busy, especially on the morning of the race. We recommend picking it up earlier—ideally on Friday—so you can focus calmly on your run.

Recommended gear for running

  • Weatherproof clothing, proper running shoes and personal energy sources. For the trailrun it is recommended to bring a phone and something to drink and eat. Just in case. Temperatures can be between +20 and 0. Check the forecast here

Own energydrinks and garbage

  • We can’t deliver your drinks to servicepoints so you’ll have to carry them yourself. At servicepoints we offer MAXIM-energydrink and pickled cucunbers. Powerade-energydrink (from bottle) is available at the finish line service.
  • No garbage is allowed to leave out to nature. There are bins at every service point. Thank you.

  • Full marathon: 5 + finishing area (2nd round servicepoint is right after the finish line)
  • Half marathon: 4 + finishing area

  • Kid’s run: finishing area

Interrupting your run

If you have to interrupt the race, try to return to the event area along the marked route. If you are unable to do so, contact the nearest service center for transportation. Be prepared to wait for transportation. Report the interruption to the nearest clerk or send a text message with the race number to the race office on + 358 40 357 2446.

Paramedics

  • call the emergency room / ambulance on +35840 740 9555
  • or the severity of the injury (immediate need for first aid) to the general emergency number 112.
  • The clerk of the event must follow each run, so no one is left on the terrain / along the route. If you get tired then don’t hide in any spruce ass that our clerk can find you.

Prizes

Everyone finishing the run will receive a medal. In addition, a surprise prize will be drawn among those who finish on different runs. Surprise prize will be handed over to the lucky one right at the finish line. So you can still win as long as you make it to the finish line.

A prize-giving ceremony for the top 3 in overall competitions (3 fastest in Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km, Trailrun) and age group winners of each above-mentioned races and for the top 3 of the 10km age groups 14 and 16 will be held at 4pm at the finish area service area. If it rains, the prizes will be awarded at Hullu Poro Areena. Follow the announcements.

Showers, sauna and spa

After finishing the Ruska Marathon, you deserve the best recovery!

Total relaxation awaits you after the finish line at the Levi Hotel Spa Water World.

  • Access the spa for just €15 by showing your Ruska Marathon medal.
  • Alternatively, you can use just the shower and sauna facilities for €7.
  • Please remember to bring your own towel.

Candlelight Swim: Sat, Sept 12, 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM (18+)

End the race day in an atmospheric setting amidst the glow of candlelight. Enjoy the peaceful evening ambiance, warm pools, and relaxing hydro-massage in an adults-only environment. Show your medal (discounted price €15), bring your own towel, and come enjoy the best reward of the race day!
